Job Responsibilities

The museum host is responsible for hosting Bildmuseet's visitors. The work includes staffing the reception and museum shop, answering questions, and providing information about exhibitions and programs, conducting guided tours for groups in both Swedish and English, and providing service to museum visitors. The job responsibilities also include creating and publishing posts on Bildmuseet's social media, as well as overseeing ongoing exhibitions and performing alarm and security routines in the building. Additionally, other tasks within the organization may be assigned.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in art, pedagogy, museology, or another equivalent education. You have knowledge of and interest in contemporary art and visual culture, as well as experience in hosting, information, and reception work at a larger art institution. You also have experience in conducting guided tours and working with social media. We seek someone who is ambitious, flexible, and has good collaboration skills. You are service-oriented, pedagogical, and can express yourself well verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

We are looking for a museum host, 100% for 11 months starting from 2026-04-13 or by agreement. Weekend work is included in the schedule.
